On July 3, the seminar titled "IP LADNDSCAPE in the views of Board of Directors" hosted by Li & N IP was successfully held at Wangjing SOHO in Beijing.
The seminar brought together senior IP experts, renowned corporate IPR professionals, and business executives from China, Japan, and South Korea, in a hybrid online-offline format to explore how IP Landscape (IPL) can influence board-level decision-making and corporate strategy.

Experts Gather: Aligning Decision-Making and Transformation
The seminar kicked off in a vibrant and professional atmosphere. Ms. Yingyan Li, Managing Director of Li & N IP, delivered the opening address, warmly welcoming distinguished guests from China, Japan, and South Korea. Ms. Li systematically reviewed the development trajectory and industry landscape of IPL across the three countries, emphasizing the indispensable role of IPL in both current business operations and long-term strategic decision-making.

First, Ms. Ruriko Imaizumi, IP expert from the Intellectual Property Division of RESONAC Corporation (Japan), shared a comprehensive overview of Japan's IPL practices, detailing the complete process — from IPL analysis tools and standardized methodologies to project implementation. Drawing on long-term practical case studies, she clearly illustrated how IPL enables corporate boards to make more forward-looking strategic decisions based on IP intelligence.

Next, Mr. Seunghyun Youn, former Managing Director of HYUNDAI Motor Group (South Korea), presented real-world cases from a leading Korean automaker, sharing practical applications of IPL in the Korean automotive industry. Grounded in the current state of the global automotive sector, he analyzed how enterprises can leverage IPL analytical tools and assessment methodologies to provide solid data support for major board-level business decisions, offering a highly valuable benchmark for domestic and international companies.

Following that, Mr. Guobi Zhao, IP expert from the Intellectual Property Publishing House and China Intellectual Property Big Data Research, focused on the digital transformation needs of local enterprises, delivering a presentation titled "AI + IP Big Data: Empowering Enterprise IPL in Practice and Application." Drawing on the current state of AI development, he analyzed new IPL methodologies and practical implementations tailored to the Chinese market, providing actionable guidance for Chinese enterprises in applying IPL.

Roundtable Dialogue: A Two-Way Conversation on Strategic Transformation
Following the three expert presentations, the seminar transitioned into a more interactive session — the roundtable discussion — which brought the event to its climax. Moderated by Ms. Yingyan Li, Managing Director of Li & N IP, the roundtable featured the three experts from China, Japan, and South Korea engaging in an in-depth dialogue on core topics such as IPL's role in board-level decision-making, implementation tools, and practical methodologies. Drawing on their respective legal frameworks and practical experience across the three countries, the experts addressed questions from both on-site and online audiences, offering professional insights that combined international perspectives with actionable value.

With the conclusion of the roundtable, the seminar came to a successful close in a warm and professional atmosphere. Li & N IP remains committed to building an international exchange platform that connects corporate decision-makers with IP practitioners, helping domestic and international enterprises transform intellectual property into a core strategic asset for long-term development through IPL.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every speaker for their brilliant presentations, and to every participant — both on-site and online — for your support. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
